As a trained Zoologist, I’m interested in all natural history, however, my specialism is wildlife guiding at sea, which has been my profession since 2012. I lead wildlife cruises and tours around the world (the Hebrides, Spitsbergen, Azores, Indonesia and the Maldives) and whether I'm searching for whales, dolphins, otters, eagles or Komodo Dragons, I'm happiest on the bow of a boat with a pair of binoculars in my hand!
I work for Naturetrek, who have 33 years of expertise in operating specialist wildlife tours. My previous experience includes working at sea for 3 years as both a Wildlife Guide in the Scottish Hebrides and a Senior Wildlife Officer posted on a mini-cruise ship in the North Sea. Much of my work involved running wildlife tours, surveying whales and dolphins and delivering lectures about marine conservation (both at sea and on land in schools!). I have also been a regular writer
for the BBC Wildlife Magazine.
